Major League Table Tennis 2024-2025 Season Kicks Off

The second season of Major League Table Tennis, the first professional table tennis league in the United States, has begun. Eight teams, four from the East and four from the West, will participate in the 2024-2025 season. The East and West teams will compete against each other during the regular season, a change from last season.

Game Format

Each team match is set at 21 points. The format includes:

  • Singles A: 3 points
  • Singles B: 3 points
  • Doubles: 3 points
  • Singles C: 3 points
  • Singles D: 3 points
  • Golden Game: 6 points

The Golden Game is a special 21-point single match. Each team has 5 players, who take turns playing 4 points (2 serves/2 receives). The Golden Game does not start with a love-all, but with the team that was leading in singles (A, B, C, D) and doubles starting with a maximum of 5 points ahead depending on how many points they were leading.

Unique Rule

Each team must have at least one female player.
