The biggest women’s professional tennis tournament in ASEAN, the WTA 250 event “Allide Thailand Open 2024 Presented by Cal-Comp,” concluded on September 22, 2024, at Hua Hin Arena, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, with a total prize money of 267,082 US dollars, or approximately 10 million baht.
Women’s Doubles Final
In the final match, Anna Danilina, ranked 34th in the world in doubles from Kazakhstan, and Irina Kromacheva, ranked 30th in the world in doubles, competed against U. Diz Chong, the world number 191 doubles pair from Hong Kong, and Moyuka Yushijima, the world number 164 doubles pair from Japan. The favorite pair, Danilina and Kromacheva, used their skills to win in 2 sets, 6-4 and 7-5, in 1 hour and 25 minutes.
Champions and Prizes
Anna Danilina and Irina Kromacheva were crowned women’s doubles champions, receiving a cash prize of 12,820 US dollars or about 425,830 baht and 250 world ranking points each. The runner-up pair received a joint cash prize of 7,210 US dollars or about 237,400 baht and accumulated world ranking points of 163 points each.
