Clas Ohlson and Kjell & Co. are recalling certain smoke detector models after a product inspection revealed they did not function correctly.The directorate for Building Quality (DIBK) initiated the inspection following concerns about the reliability of some smoke detectors.
Out of eight smoke detectors tested,two failed to meet required standards,leading to their removal from the market. Clas Ohlson opted to withdraw its product voluntarily, while Kjell & Co. received an order to pull its smoke alarm from shelves.
The directorate emphasized that only specific batch numbers of the smoke alarm are affected by this recall.
The affected Clas Ohlson product is the Cotech Optical Smoke Alarm, Model GS506FG, with batch number 22101226435. Kjell & Co.must recall the luxorpart’s wireless smoke alarm with batch number IK133499.
