Canon SELPHY QX20 Compact Photo Printer: Effortless High-Quality Printing from Your Smartphone
Canon is set to launch the SELPHY QX20, a compact photo printer that allows users to easily print high-quality photos from their smartphone or tablet. The SELPHY QX20 will be accompanied by the XC-20L and XC-60L passport-size color/label ink sets, which are scheduled for release in late October.
SELPHY QX20 Printer: A Compact and Portable Solution
The SELPHY QX20 is a successor to the SELPHY SQUARE QX10, released in April 2020. This compact photo printer uses the dedicated application “SELPHY Photo Layout” to print high-quality photos. Despite its compact and lightweight design, the SELPHY QX20 supports two types of labels: passport-size (XC-20L/XC-60L) and square-size (XS-20L), which can also be used as stickers.
The SELPHY QX20 uses the dye sublimation thermal transfer method, which vaporizes ink to print, allowing for delicate tones and textures to be expressed in soft tones with less graininess. New sharpness processing improves resolution, and lamination protects the surface of the photo from water droplets and dirt, preventing colors from bleeding and fading.
The SELPHY QX20 features a compact and lightweight design, measuring approximately 102.2 mm (width) x approximately 145.8 mm (depth) x approximately 32.9 mm (height) and weighing approximately 455 g. This makes it easy to carry and use in various situations, regardless of location. Compared to the SELPHY SQUARE QX10, the charging time has been reduced from approximately 120 minutes to approximately 80 minutes, and the printing time has been reduced from approximately 43 seconds to approximately 40 seconds.
