AI Clips are available via a dedicated plugin in Lens Studio. Developers access the feature through the GenAI Home Page tab in the sidebar after navigating to the Lens Studio AI option. The interface consists of a Creation Panel for editing, a Gallery to track the status of generated clips, and a Search function to locate specific clips by keyword or name.

The creation process follows a specific technical workflow:

• Developers enter a text description of the desired AI Clip or use a Surprise Me button to insert default prompts.
• A Seed value is used to control the randomness of the generation and to reproduce specific experiments.
• The Generate previews button creates a sample clip, a process that can take up to one minute.
• Previews can be tested across different models using directional arrows in the Gallery to ensure the effect meets expectations.

If the results are not satisfactory, developers can use the Copy Settings feature to adjust the prompt or seed and regenerate the clip.

Subscription and Monetization

Access to AI Clips is limited to Snapchat Lens+ subscribers. This premium tier is priced at $9 per month and provides users with immersive experiences, such as simulations of deep-sea diving or scaling mountain peaks.

For creators, the introduction of AI Clips provides a new path toward monetization. Developers who are enrolled in Lens+ Payouts can earn directly from the experiences they design. However, using the AI Clips plugin does not automatically enroll a developer in the payout program; creators must apply separately to begin monetizing their Lenses.
