- actor Óscar Casas shared a story about a youthful misadventure during his appearance on the Spanish television program The Anthill, as reported by 20minutos.es. He was promoting his new film, You Have Stolen My Heart, which premiered in theaters on December 5th.
The Confession
Host Pablo Motos prompted Casas to discuss whether he had ever stolen anything, leading to the actor’s confession. Casas admitted to stealing a pair of sneakers as a minor, attributing the act to a romantic pursuit.
“I stole some sneakers, but for love,” Casas explained. “The girl liked them and she liked to steal. Then she said to me: ‘What if we steal?’ And I said yes, super adventurer.”
The Failed Escape
The theft didn’t go as planned. as they left the store, the security alarm sounded, triggering a hasty retreat. “It started beeping and of course,we ran away,an adrenaline rush… As I crossed the corner,I stopped, but she wasn’t there,” Casas recounted.
His accomplice was apprehended, and she contacted Casas for help. He ultimately returned the sneakers, and his parents were informed of the incident.
Parental Disapproval and a Change of Heart
Casas revealed that his parents were not pleased, especially considering a previous, unspecified “heavy” incident that had occurred shortly before. “Wrong, because the week before I had also done something heavy and they told me ‘what’s wrong with you’,” he said. He claims this double transgression led him to abandon such behavior, stating, “as then I have done nothing wrong.”
