Southcentral Pennsylvania residents coudl see a dusting to an inch of snow on Friday, followed by a chilly weekend, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Craig Evanego. But will it be enough for a white Christmas?
While a fast-moving storm system could bring light snow on Christmas Eve, the chances of a true white Christmas – defined as at least an inch of snow on the ground Christmas morning – remain slim.
“Its unlikely we’ll see a white Christmas this year,” Evanego said, echoing earlier predictions.
Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing on Christmas Day, with a chance of rain, making it less likely that any snow from Christmas Eve will stick around.
