Snow Squalls Ease,But Cold Weather Lingers in Southwestern Ontario
London,Ontario – After a day of relentless snow squalls, southwestern Ontario is finally seeing some relief. While the heaviest snowfall has passed, residents are urged to remain cautious as frigid temperatures and lingering snowdrifts continue to pose challenges.
“A snow squall warning remains in place for gray-Bruce as those winds continue to gust over Lake Huron – you can see heavy bands of snowfall,” reported CTV’s Reta Ismail. “that snow has eased off in parts of London, especially in the east end,” she added, offering some reassurance to Londoners.
Even though the worst of the storm appears to be over, the cold weather is here to stay for the weekend.”Heading into tomorrow, the windchill will be a factor,” Ismail cautioned, “but the good news is the flurries will start to ease off as the wind shifts.”
Warmer temperatures are expected to return next week, bringing a welcome reprieve from the wintery blast.
