Snubbed: The Royal Family’s Ominous Omission of Meghan Markle from Prince Harry’s Birthday Tribute
Prince Harry’s 40th Birthday: A Congratulatory Message from the Royal Family
On September 15th, Prince Harry’s 40th birthday, the British Royal Family posted a congratulatory message on their official social media accounts, including Twitter and Instagram. The photo used at the time was taken when the prince visited Dublin with Meghan Markle after their marriage in 2018.
The official account of Prince William and his wife also reposted this post to celebrate his birthday. However, some users speculated that the royal family intentionally cut Meghan Markle out of the photo. A royal spokesperson denied the speculation, stating that the photo used in the post “was not altered and was used exactly as it was received.”
Prince Harry, who left the royal family in 2022, has had a worsening relationship with his father and brother after he candidly exposed the inner workings of the royal family in subsequent interviews and in his memoir “SPARE,” released in 2023. This is the first time King Charles and Prince William have publicly celebrated the prince’s birthday since 2021.
Some see this congratulatory message as a “peace proposal,” while others believe that he is simply following the example of Queen Elizabeth, who issued congratulatory messages on milestone years such as his 40th and 50th birthdays.
