Patrick Muldoon, known for his roles in 1990s television shows such as Saved by the Bell, Melrose Place, and Days of Our Lives, died on April 19 at the age of 57. The cause of death has been confirmed as a myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, according to his death certificate.

The death certificate, issued by the County of Los Angeles’ Department of Public Health and obtained by Us Weekly, also revealed that Muldoon had a hereditary coagulopathy disorder and suffered from a pulmonary embolism, The Mirror reported on April 30, 2026.

A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot travels to the lungs or a vital artery, causing a blockage. Hereditary coagulopathy disorders are genetic conditions that can cause excessive bleeding due to impaired blood clotting.
