Sofiane Boufal Set to Join Belgian Club Union Saint-Gillois on Free Transfer
Moroccan star Sofiane Boufal is reportedly nearing a move to Belgian club Union Saint-Gillois during the current summer transfer period.
According to RMC Network, Boufal will join Union Saint-Gillois on a free transfer, following the termination of his contract with Qatari club Al Rayyan by mutual consent.
Boufal had signed with Al Rayyan in January 2023, with a contract set to run until 2026. However, the Qatari club announced the termination of his contract on Monday evening.
Prior to joining Al Rayyan, Boufal played for French club Angers. During his time with Al Rayyan, he made 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
Despite interest from Al-Ahli Club, Boufal is now set to join Union Saint-Gillois, marking a new chapter in his career.
Boufal’s move to Union Saint-Gillois is expected to be completed in the coming days, with the Moroccan star eager to get started with his new club.
