Comparing 2025 Peaks and 2026 Market Positions
All four major cryptocurrencies reached their peak values within nine months of each other in 2025, but they currently trade significantly lower. Solana trades around $118, which is 59.6% below its peak of $293 set on January 19, 2025. XRP sits at $1.50, down 58.9% from its all-time high of $3.65 reached in July 2025. Ethereum trades at about $2,663, marking a 46.2% decline from its $4,946 high set on August 24, 2025. Bitcoin prices hover around $83,070, sitting 34.1% below its peak of $126,080 from October 6, 2025. Solana’s record stands as the oldest among the four assets. Investors who bought in January 2025 have endured the longest period of losses and may sell once the price approaches their purchase levels, potentially hindering any rally back to $293. In contrast, XRP holders bought during the stronger mid-2025 rally, though XRP still requires a 143% gain to return to its peak. Ethereum needs an 86% increase to return to its peak, while Bitcoin requires a 52% gain.
