Solid Rock Revival: Grammy-Nominated Children’s Album by Norelli Family Foundation & Alice Cooper

November 15, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor Entertainment

Joe and Judy Norelli, founders of the Norelli Family Foundation in Central Florida, have announced a new album for children. The album, titled “Solid Rock Revival,” will be released in August 2024. It is nominated for a Grammy Award for “Best Children’s Music Album.” The album features the ROCK FOR CHILDREN band, led by Alice Cooper, and includes performances by notable musicians like Slash from GUNS N’ ROSES, Rob Halford from JUDAS PRIEST, and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels from RUN DMC. Proceeds from the album will support the Norelli Family Foundation and Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock charity in Phoenix, Arizona.

Alice Cooper and his wife Sheryl founded Solid Rock in 1995. They aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of teens through music, dance, arts, and vocational training. Their facility, The Rock Teen Center in Phoenix, features an auditorium, dance studio, computer lab, music rooms, and an art studio. A second location opened in 2021 in Mesa, Arizona, with a third location planned for Goodyear, Arizona. All programs are free for teens aged 12 to 20.

The Norelli Family Foundation, established in 2013, helps children and young adults in need. It partners with organizations like St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock, and others to improve lives.

Joe Norelli is the executive producer of “Solid Rock Revival.” He worked with award-winning producer Ruben Salas and producer/artist Dana Kamide on the album’s tracks. They created several classic rock remakes and original songs.

Ruben Salas has received multiple Grammy nominations and awards, while Dana Kamide founded Berliner Microphones and designed the acclaimed U77 Tube microphone.

Joe Norelli emphasized, “Music inspires learning. We want our album to entertain and deliver a positive message. We believe ‘Solid Rock Revival’ will achieve this.”

The album features 13 tracks and will be available in vinyl, digital download, and streaming formats. Educational resources, including lyric sheets and lesson plans, will also be provided.

Alice Cooper appears on the album through earMUSIC. Rob Halford is featured via Columbia Records, Slash through Revelation Management Group, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels via King Of Rock Entertainment, Steve Azar through Ride Records, and Sophie Dorsten via WorldSound.
