Son of Michoacán Newspaper Owner Gunned Down in Morelia
Morelia, Michoacán – the Michoacán State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has launched an inquiry into the murder of César ricardo, son of César Trejo, the owner of the local newspaper Primera Plana Michoacán.
The shooting occurred Monday morning around 9:00 a.m. in the Ventura Puente neighborhood of Morelia, near a design and advertising firm on Río Amatlán Street. Authorities confirmed that Ricardo, identified as an entrepreneur, was killed by gunfire.
“Investigators located, secured, collected, and packaged ballistic evidence for further analysis,” the FGE stated in a press release. The victim’s body was transported to the forensic Medical service (Semefo) for an autopsy.
Local legislator Julieta hortencia Gallardo Mora confirmed Ricardo’s identity and expressed her condolences to the family.”In these difficult times, we want to extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones,” she wrote on social media.
