Colombia’s Foreign Minister, Luis Gilberto Murillo, has revealed that a meeting between Colombian President Petro, Brazilian President Lula, and Venezuelan President Maduro is set to take place tomorrow.
According to Murillo, the meeting aims to facilitate a dialogue between the three leaders to find solutions to the current situation in Venezuela. “Apparently, tomorrow, Wednesday, a meeting of the three presidents can be held with President Maduro to express their views and have a dialogue within diplomatic secrecy to find solutions,” he explained.
The meeting, led by the Colombian head of state, will focus on expressing their views and engaging in a diplomatic dialogue to find solutions. Murillo emphasized that the goal is not to limit the possibility of mediation and facilitation, as some countries are required to play that role.
Murillo also acknowledged that the situation in Venezuela has implications for Colombia and the region.
