South Jakarta Police Collaborate with Child Psychologists in Murder Case Involving 14-Year-Old Suspect
The South Jakarta Metro Police are working with child psychology experts from APSIFOR to investigate the murder committed by a 14-year-old identified as MAS alias A. Police Chief Kombes Ade Rahmat Idnal stated that the examination will be conducted gradually with the help of child psychologists.
Currently, the perpetrator is in stable condition and is able to smile and engage in conversation. Police plan to conduct a thorough investigation involving psychiatrists to understand the motive behind the crime.
The South Jakarta Metro Police have not yet determined the motive for the murders of APW (40) and RM (69) by MAS. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Gogo Galesung noted that child psychology assistance is essential due to the sensitive nature of the case.
There are rumors about possible pressure on the perpetrator from their parents regarding education, but this has not been confirmed. The police will continue to coordinate with forensic psychology professionals to investigate these claims.
