Macroeconomic Meetings and Fiscal Revenue Re-estimations
Officials scheduled an expanded macroeconomic and financial consultative meeting behind closed doors at 07:30 on Sept. 30, 2026, according to official agency schedules published by Yonhap Infomax. That meeting is set to be followed by a public briefing regarding the broader macroeconomic consultative outcomes at 09:30.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy also scheduled the release of the August 2026 industrial activity trends at 08:00, alongside an analytical report on those trends at 08:30. Additionally, authorities will publish the re-estimated figures for national tax revenues for the year 2026 at 09:00, and convene the 12th Forum on Inclusive and Sustainable Quality of Life at 14:30.
Budget Office Site Inspections and Official Itineraries
The Ministry of Budget and Planning announced that its minister joined the 07:30 expanded macroeconomic and financial meeting before heading out for public welfare engagements. The minister is scheduled to visit the Mannuri Kindergarten located in Jung-gu, Seoul, at 10:00 to inspect early childhood care conditions.
Later in the evening, the budget office head is scheduled to attend a private dinner meeting with former ministers of the planning and budget agency at 18:30. Meanwhile, Bank of Korea Monetary Policy Committee member Kim Jin-il has begun a multi-day international travel itinerary running from Sept. 30 through Oct. 7, 2026, to participate as a discussant at a Swiss National Bank conference and to present at a SEACEN conference in Bali.
Financial Services and Industrial Policy Engagements
The Financial Services Commission announced that its chairman will travel to South Jeolla Province and Gwangju on Sept. 30, 2026. The chairman is scheduled to attend an opening ceremony for the Jeonnam-Gwangju Complex Financial Support Center at 13:30 and host a local small-business owner discussion forum.
In the industrial sector, Trade, Industry and Energy Minister officials arranged a morning meeting with Vietnam’s Minister of Science and Technology in Seoul at 08:00, followed by a collaborative agreement signing ceremony focused on establishing a future vehicle transition ecosystem at Hyundai Mobis at 09:30. The Ministry of Science and ICT announced its own schedule, featuring the 13th Science and Technology Ministers’ Meeting at the Government Complex Seoul at 10:00 and the National Strategy Technology Committee session at 14:00.
