Alcaras lost the first set 3-7 but made a comeback in the‍ second set, breaking twice and ⁣winning 6-1, tying the score. In the third set, Marki suffered ‍an injury while saving a ball and was unable to continue, resulting in Alcaras’ win. Alcaras then paired up with Canunas in the men’s doubles, securing another win for Spain.

With Alcaras’ ⁢win in the second‌ game and the subsequent men’s doubles victory, Spain defeated the⁢ Czech Republic in three straight games, securing their position in the tournament.
