Teh death toll from a train collision in Spain has climbed to 39, with authorities warning that more fatalities are feared as recovery efforts continue.The collision occurred on Sunday evening near Adamuz, approximately 200 kilometers north of Malaga.
Andalusian regional president Juan Manuel Moreno stated that heavy machinery is being deployed to lift the wreckage of the Alvia train, and there is a strong possibility of discovering additional deceased individuals trapped beneath the debris. The primary focus remains on identifying the victims.

More than 120 people were injured in the accident. As of midday Monday,48 individuals remained hospitalized,with 12 in intensive care,according to emergency services.

The incident involved an iryo train, a private rail operator, traveling to Madrid with approximately 300 passengers. the train derailed and crossed onto a parallel track,colliding with a Renfe train – Spain’s national rail company – heading towards Huelva with 184 passengers on board. The collision took place at 7:45 p.m. local time (6:45 p.m. GMT).
