Darragh Joyce and his partner, recently returned from their honeymoon in Seville, described temperatures reaching 41C, with limited relief available. “Every kind of café, bar or restaurant has mist sprinklers,” Joyce said, “but as the day went on, there was no cool-down.” He highlighted the difficulty of waiting on the runway in intense heat before boarding their flight home.
Even Ireland is feeling the effects, with temperatures expected to reach nearly 30C today. However, a thunderstorm warning is in place for Clare, Kerry, and Limerick between 3pm and 9pm.
