Guardian Championship Final Day: Fatima Fernandez Cano Secures Victory

The US Women’s Lower Epson Tour competition, held at the RTJ Golf Trail at Capital Hill in Alabama, concluded with a thrilling final day. Fatima Fernandez Cano, a 28-year-old Spanish golfer, made a remarkable comeback with a score of 67, securing her first victory of the season.

Ingrid Lindblad from Sweden took second place with a total of 13 under par, while Leah John from Canada finished third with a total of 11 under par. Saki Baba, representing Japan, participated in the tournament and entered the final day in 29th place. Despite a strong start with alternating bogeys and birdies, Baba dropped two strokes in the second half and finished with a score of 73, ultimately tying for 51st place with a total of 2 under par.

The golfing world will now shift its attention to the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic, scheduled to take place from September 13-15 in Alabama. Saki Baba has confirmed her entry into the tournament, and fans can look forward to another exciting competition.
