The Los Angeles Sparks have ⁢signed Grace Berger,a former Indiana University ⁤standout,to a hardship contract. the team ‌announced ‍the move ‌Tuesday ‍as they navigate‌ a ⁣season riddled with injuries. ⁤Berger, a guard⁢ drafted ​by the fever seventh overall in 2023,​ looks‌ to add depth to the Sparks’ backcourt.

Berger, 26, has played two‌ seasons in the WNBA,‍ averaging 3.9 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. She ⁤has ⁣demonstrated shooting accuracy, hitting 44.1% from the field and 46.2% from three-point range. Before joining the Sparks, Berger⁢ attended training camp⁣ with the Minnesota Lynx⁣ and ‌played for Ormanspor in Turkey, where ⁤she averaged 13.1 points.
