Pepper prices today (August 30) in the Southeast region are stable compared to yesterday, trading around 142,000 – 143,500 VND/kg. Notably, the highest pepper price in Dak Lak province is 143,500 VND/kg.

Accordingly, today’s pepper price in Dak Lak was purchased at 143,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Today’s pepper price in Chu Se (Gia Lai) was purchased at 143,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. Today’s pepper price in Dak Nong was recorded at 143,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

After reaching a peak of VND180,000/kg on June 12, domestic pepper prices fell by VND30,000/kg to an average of VND150,000/kg in July. In August, prices continued to cool down and decreased by 6-7% compared to the previous month, reaching VND139,000-140,000/kg on August 20.

In the world market, updating world pepper prices from the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,560 USD/ton, up 0.44%, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,901 USD/ton, up 0.43%.

Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper prices remained stable at $6,450/ton. Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained stable at $8,500/ton; the country’s ASTA white pepper prices reached $10,400/ton.

Vietnamese black pepper price is trading at 6,100 USD/ton for 500g/l, up 4.92%; 550g/l at 6,500 USD/ton; white pepper price at 8,800 USD/ton.
