##‍ What Happened at Srinagar‌ Airport?

The incident ⁢began when the officer attempted to bypass security ‍protocols. According to eyewitness accounts, the officer initially tried⁢ to enter ⁤the boarding gate without proper‌ authorization. “He ⁣didn’t have a ‌boarding pass and tried to⁤ go through ⁢with CISF ‌staff and entered the boarding gate, which is ‌not allowed. CISF staff brought him back,” said Ahmad, a witness to the initial confrontation.The situation quickly escalated at the boarding⁤ gate. Ahmad described a physical⁢ altercation, stating, “He⁤ pulled out a few things from his bag and threw it at a member of the ‍staff… He ⁢hit me ⁣on ⁣my face with the rest of the baggage… He⁤ used his‍ fist and feet to hit me.”

SpiceJet has confirmed that four of it’s employees sustained injuries during the alleged assault, requiring⁣ hospitalization. The⁤ airline‍ detailed ​the severity ⁢of the ⁣attack, stating that employees were struck with ‌punches, kicks, and even a​ queue stand.⁤ One staff member reportedly lost consciousness and continued to be kicked‍ while unconscious. Another suffered facial ⁤injuries, including bleeding from the nose and mouth, while attempting to help a ⁤colleague. Injuries ​included a reported spinal fracture and serious jaw damage.

## Indian Army⁤ Response and Investigation

The Indian army‌ has acknowledged the incident and stated its⁢ commitment to cooperating​ with the ongoing investigation.”The matter involving an ⁢alleged altercation between an Army personnel and airline⁣ staff at Srinagar Airport on 26 July 2025‍ has come‌ to the⁢ notice of the Indian Army,” the Army ⁤said in a statement ‍issued‌ on ⁤Saturday.

The Army emphasized⁣ its dedication to ‍upholding high standards of discipline and conduct, adding, ‌”The⁣ Indian Army is committed to ​uphold the⁢ highest standards ​of discipline and conduct ‍and takes all‌ allegations seriously. Full ⁤cooperation is being extended to the authorities in ​investigating the case.”

A subsequent statement from Army headquarters reiterated the force’s commitment to “fully committed to maintaining‌ discipline and mutual respect in all civil spaces ⁤across the country.”

## spicejet Confirms Employee Injuries

SpiceJet has officially confirmed that ⁣ four of ⁣its employees were injured ‍during the incident.
