Martinique, French West Indies – Kimberly Glanny, a young entrepreneur from Martinique, is on a mission to make fitness fun and accessible for everyone. Her innovative mobile game, “kim’s Odyssey,” blends the excitement of gaming with the benefits of physical activity, using artificial intelligence to track and encourage users’ performance.

Glanny, who struggled to maintain a regular exercise routine during her demanding business studies, envisioned a solution that would reignite her passion for fitness. “I realized I didn’t have the time or motivation to exercise like I used to,” Glanny explained. “Fitness apps didn’t work for me as I couldn’t be sure if I was performing the exercises correctly.”

This realization sparked an idea: combine the engaging world of video games with the physical demands of exercise. “Sportyplay creates experiences that blend video games and sports,” Glanny said. “Our goal is to motivate users to engage in regular physical activity through a fun and interactive platform.”

Launched just over a year ago, Sportyplay, glanny’s company, has garnered support from prominent organizations like La French tech tremplin, Le Village by CA, and AMOS. This backing has enabled the progress of “Kim’s Odyssey,” wich utilizes an AI-powered motion sensor integrated into the phone’s camera.”The game will detect our movements, assess their accuracy, award points, and place us in a multiplayer ranking,” Glanny explained.

Beyond individual training, Sportyplay also organizes group activities where participants follow a series of movements projected onto an interactive screen. “We believe in making fitness a tangible experience,” glanny emphasized. “That’s why we’ve created a system of animations and events in schools, town halls, and businesses using a portable interactive screen.”

Glanny highlights sportyplay’s commitment to accessibility, recognizing the growing trend of video games promoting physical activity. “Everyone has a phone,” she stated.”Our service doesn’t require users to spend hundreds of dollars on a console. We want to make sport and physical activity accessible to everyone, irrespective of budget or location.”

As “Kim’s Odyssey” nears its anticipated launch in late 2025, Glanny is focused on building a strong community. “We’ll initially focus on event-based deployments in Martinique,” she said. “Then, we aim to expand our activities throughout the Caribbean and ultimately achieve global success with our digital game.”

Glanny’s vision is clear: to make fitness fun, engaging, and accessible for everyone. With “Kim’s Odyssey” on the horizon, she is poised to revolutionize the way people approach exercise and inspire a new generation of active individuals.
