According to the Kreissportbund Stade (KSB), the district’s sports association, a recent survey for 2025 reveals a membership increase of nearly 1,000, bringing the total to 66,067 active members across 144 clubs.

While the KSB Stade reports three fewer clubs compared to 2024, the overall trend remains positive. Two clubs, TV Germania Drochtersen and TSV Wiepenkathen, have surpassed 1,000 members for the first time. TSV Wiepenkathen leads the district wiht an increase of 120 members.
