New Egyptian Club Stadium in Port Said on Track for 2025 Completion
Port Said, Egypt – Construction of the new Egyptian Club Stadium in Port Said is progressing rapidly and remains on schedule for completion in June 2025, according to Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sowi.
Sowi made the declaration during a press conference held at the stadium site, attended by Major General Moheb Habashi Khalil, Governor of Port Said, and representatives from various stakeholders, including the Nile Valley Company, Wadi El Nile implementing agency, project consultants, and Egyptian club representatives.
“The political leadership of Port Said Governorate has shown great interest in this project,” Sowi stated, highlighting the meaningful investment in youth and sports infrastructure in the region. “Over 1 billion and 135 million Egyptian pounds have been allocated to youth and sports construction projects in port Said, with 400 million specifically dedicated to the Al-Masri Club Stadium.”
Sowi emphasized that the new stadium is more than just a sports venue. “It will be a cultural hub serving the youth of Port Said, a beacon of opportunity and inspiration,” he said.
Acknowledging the challenges inherent in large-scale construction projects, Sowi assured the public that the Ministry is committed to overcoming them and adhering to the project timeline. “We have provided all necessary resources to ensure the project’s timely completion,” he affirmed.
Governor Habashi expressed his gratitude to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his decision to rebuild the iconic Port Said Stadium,describing it as a testament to the ongoing growth taking place across all sectors in the city. He also commended Minister Sowi for his constant involvement and support in ensuring the project’s smooth progress.
