Sports Minister congratulated Hana Zodeh on her historic bronze medal at the Women’s World Table Tennis Championships

November 30, 2024 Catherine Williams News

Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sowi, congratulated Hana Gouda for winning a bronze medal in women’s singles at the World Table Tennis Championships for Women under 19 in Sweden. This achievement makes Hana the first Egyptian, Arab, or African to win a medal at this event in her age group.

Dr. Sowi noted that Hana’s victory showcases her hard work and the support from the Egyptian government to develop sports and nurture young talents.

Previously, Hana won silver in women’s singles at the Under-15 World Championships in 2021. In 2022, she also claimed gold in women’s doubles and mixed doubles at the same age group.

Hana Gouda’s accomplishments highlight her skill and the growing presence of Egyptian athletes in international competitions.
