Spotify has released new promotional films for its integrated regional marketing campaign titled Only Spotify People Know,
developed for Thailand by BBDO Bangkok and Juice Singapore, brandinginasia.com reported. The campaign centers on music-sharing rituals, inside references, and shared moments among Thai music fans.
Jam Feature Focus and Featured Artists
The latest film in the campaign highlights Spotify Jam, a platform feature that lets groups of friends listen to audio streams together in real time by contributing songs to a collaborative queue. The advertisement features performances and appearances by Artiwara Konmalai from Bodyslam and guncharlie. They appear alongside a group of school students who take turns choosing tracks before their teacher makes a final selection.
Direction for the films was handled by Wuttisak Un
Anarnkaporn through production house Factory 01. Gustavo Figueiredo, Group Creative Director at Juice Singapore, stated that the campaign demonstrates how the platform serves as a space where music enthusiasts connect, express their identities, and find belonging.
By highlighting how real fans use Spotify features to bond and share who they are, we wanted to build a unique culture based on musical taste that naturally sparks curiosity in outsiders, showing what it feels like to be part of an inner circle that only Spotify people truly know.

Targeting Gen Z Culture and Shared References
The creative strategy builds on observations of how Thai Gen Z communicates using shared references, memes, and behavior patterns unfamiliar to outsiders. Pathida Akkarajindanon, Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Bangkok, explained the creative approach behind the concept.
We started with a simple question: what does it actually feel like to be on the inside?
Pathida Akkarajindanon
Akkarajindanon added that the campaign reimagines platform features as a secret language meant to create a sense of inclusion for fans and mild exclusion or FOMO for non-users.
Earlier Campaign Rollout and Interactive Billboards
The current Jam advertisement follows an earlier film released in August that highlighted Spotify’s Blend feature, which merges two user playlists to measure musical compatibility. That initial release featured T-pop artist BILLKIN and hip-hop artist YOUNGOHM.
Alongside the video content, the campaign includes interactive outdoor billboards. These displays initially show individuals wearing headphones and listening separately, before an interaction reveals that they are sharing the exact same track through Spotify Jam.
