On the occasion of World Lymphoma Day, September 15th, the Lymphoma Club of Thailand organized a seminar activity to provide knowledge on innovative treatments to patients. The event, titled “The X Fighters: Assemble.. People Fighting Diseases,” aimed to encourage patients and raise awareness about lymphoma.
Innovative Treatments for Lymphoma Patients
Prof. Dr. Thanin Intharakamthornchai, President of the Lymphoma Club of Thailand, emphasized that although lymphoma is becoming more common in all age groups, it is one of the few cancers that has a chance of complete cure. He highlighted the importance of morale and encouragement for patients to fight the disease.
The seminar discussed innovative treatment options for lymphoma patients, including Targeted Therapy, Bispecific Antibody Group, and CAR-T Immune Cell Therapy. These treatments offer new hope for patients who cannot undergo stem cell transplantation.
CAR-T Cell Therapy: A Personalized Cancer Treatment
CAR-T Cell Therapy is a personalized cancer treatment technique that specifically targets blood cancers. The treatment involves collecting T cells from the patient’s blood, modifying them in a laboratory, and injecting them back into the body to destroy cancer cells.
Patient Stories: Inspiring Hope and Resilience
The event featured stories of patients battling lymphoma, including Khun Phakthinan, Khun Thananyanan, and Miss Jirawan. Their stories highlighted the importance of perseverance, hope, and resilience in the face of cancer.
Activities and Auction
The event included various activities, such as talks with medical experts, Q&A sessions with doctors, and an auction of a Photo Rubik item loved by Win Methwin. The auction aimed to raise funds for the Lymphoma Club of Thailand.
