Spreading Hope and Kindness: MOL Charitable Trust Unveils Its Fourth Heartfelt Appeal

MOL Charitable Trust Launches Fourth Call ⁤for Projects in ‍Mauritius

The MOL Charitable Trust is pleased to announce the launch of ‍its fourth call for‍ projects (CFP4) for the year 2025, demonstrating its ongoing commitment ‍to‌ sustainable development and social‌ welfare in Mauritius.

Established in June 2021, the ⁣MOL Charitable Trust has consistently supported high-impact initiatives focusing on environmental conservation, cultural heritage ‍preservation, empowering vulnerable ⁤communities, and ‍research in renewable energy. Through its previous calls for projects, the Trust ‌has supported 57 non-governmental organization (NGO) projects, contributing⁣ to innovative initiatives that have improved lives⁤ and protected local ecosystems.

We invite Mauritian NGOs to submit projects that respond to ​current ​challenges while contributing to protecting our environment and supporting the most vulnerable ​communities.”

Objectives and‍ Eligibility Criteria

The MOL Charitable Trust’s objective remains‍ the same, offering‌ funding capped⁤ at Rs 1 ​million per project over a period of 12 months. Submitted projects must be aligned with at least‌ one of the following criteria:

  • Conservation and protection of mangroves
  • Conservation and protection of coral reefs
  • Protection of⁣ wild, rare, and migratory⁤ bird species
  • Preservation and restoration of cultural heritage
  • Economic development of the fishing and tourism industries
  • Raising awareness among the population about ecology, ecotourism, and environmental​ protection
  • Support and accompany vulnerable communities through ‍social and educational actions
  • Research and development on renewable ⁤energy
  • Humanitarian aid following disasters
  • Building⁢ infrastructure related to the actions ‍mentioned​ above

Application Process

Applications must be submitted online using ‌the form available on our website. Proposals will be evaluated by an independent entity, ensuring a thorough selection process based on the impact and functionality of the projects.

Key Dates

The closing date for the submission of proposals is 11:59 pm local time on Monday, September‌ 30, 2024. Successful applicants will be ⁢notified at the end of the selection process ⁣and asked to‍ sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the MOL Charitable Trust.
