San Antonio Spurs Defeats Golden State Warriors 104-94
Victor Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs with 25 points, helping the team overcome a 17-point deficit to beat the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. Harrison Barnes contributed 22 points.
The Spurs trailed 81-64 late in the third quarter but rallied to finish the game on a strong 40-13 run. This win marked San Antonio’s first three-game winning streak since January 2021.
Wembanyama, returning after missing three games due to a knee injury, recorded nine assists, seven rebounds, and three blocks. Rookie Stephon Castle added 19 points, making key plays, including a steal from Stephen Curry late in the game.
For the Warriors, Andrew Wiggins scored 20 points, while Curry added 14. Trayce Jackson-Davis contributed 12 points and eight rebounds. Golden State’s bench, normally scoring 54 points, managed only 36 in this game.
The Spurs’ 11-0 run in the fourth quarter lifted them to a 97-90 lead. Golden State struggled offensively, failing to score for over four minutes.
Castle’s driving layup with 4:25 left sparked the Spurs’ late surge. He followed with a three-pointer, and Wembanyama also hit a deep three.
In the final quarter, San Antonio outscored Golden State 33-13.
