Peter Morales Named Square One Vice President of Operations
Square One, a springfield-based nonprofit serving children and families, has appointed Peter morales as its vice president of Operations.Teh agency, the region’s oldest and largest of its kind, said Morales will manage daily operations, streamline processes, and ensure internal systems function smoothly.
Dawn DiStefano, president and CEO, said Morales’ experience will be vital as Square One prepares to open a new early learning center in Springfield. The center aims to expand the association’s reach to more children and families.
Before joining Square One, Morales was senior vice president of Innovation and Technology and chief technology officer at Country Bank in Ware. He spearheaded process improvement, technology implementation, data management, and AI strategies.
Morales’ career includes operational and technology leadership positions at the Council on International Educational Exchange, New York University, the New York Stock Exchange, and the American Stock Exchange. He began his career developing diagnostic systems for U.S. Navy avionics,including the F-18 aircraft.
Morales holds degrees in electrical engineering, engineering management, and computer science. He serves on the boards of the Institute for Study Abroad and the CyberAI Group. He also mentors students through Columbia University’s Justice Through Code program and NYU Engineering.
