Kochi: Malayalam’s favorite actor Srinivasan is now in memory. The funeral rites will be held on Sunday morning at ten o’clock at Udayamperur Kandanate homestead. He died at Tripunithura Taluk Hospital at 8.25 am on Saturday. He was under treatment for some time due to various diseases.

Actor Surya came to Kandanade home in the morning to pay his last respects to Srinivasan. Surya said that he is a person whom he has admired a lot and when he heard the news of his demise, he came because he wanted to meet him.
A native of Kannur Patiyam, Srinivasan is entering Malayalam cinema by acting in PA Bakker’s Manimuzhakkam. In 1984, he also made his debut as a screenwriter with Priyadarshan’s Odaruthammava Aalariaam. In his 48-year film career, he wrote screenplays for 54 films and directed two films.
