Stafford Hospital Foundation to Host Spring Fever 5K, Benefiting Local Healthcare
Stafford, VA – The Stafford Hospital Foundation will host the 2026 Spring Fever 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 11, 2026, to raise funds for critical medical equipment, essential programs, and enhanced patient care at Stafford Hospital. The event will take place on the Stafford Hospital campus at the Stafford Medical Pavilion, located at 125 Hospital Center Blvd, Stafford, VA 22554.
The Spring Fever 5K is designed to be a community event, with a “FUN Team Challenge” and a Kids ½-mile Fun Run also planned for the day. According to the Stafford Hospital Foundation, the race proceeds will directly benefit Stafford Hospital and its mission “to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve.”
Registration for the 5K Run/Walk is currently open, with early bird pricing available through March 16, 2026, at $35. The price increases to $40 beginning March 17, 2026. A shirt is guaranteed to those who register by March 17th. The Kids ½ Mile Fun Run is available for children 12 and under, with early bird registration at $20 through March 16, increasing to $25 thereafter.
The 5K Run/Walk is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m., following the Kids ½ Mile Fun Run at 8:00 a.m. The event is part of both the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix, a series of twelve races in the region, and the 2026 Stafford Race Series, a set of five races designed to promote community engagement and wellness activities in Stafford County.
Organizers emphasize safety, stating that unregistered runners, unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and dogs are prohibited on the course. The course is not closed to traffic, and the use of headphones is discouraged. Baby joggers are permitted, but are asked to start at the back of the race.
