The Canadian Star Trek auction has officially gone live, offering fans and collectors the chance to acquire authentic set pieces, props, and costumes from the dismantled ‘Starfleet Academy’ and ‘Strange New Worlds’ productions, with proceeds supporting DoSomething.org as part of Paramount’s 60th anniversary initiative for the franchise.
Hosted by 403 Auction in Toronto, the online sale began on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11 p.m. And will conclude on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with the first lot ending at that time. The auction features items from the Starfleet Academy set, including a turbolift, furniture, and other production assets, following Paramount’s decision not to proceed with a third season of the series and the prior conclusion of ‘Strange New Worlds.’ Pickup for purchased items is available by appointment only on Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Lake Shore Blvd E & Don Roadway Area in Toronto, Ontario.
A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit DoSomething.org, one of Star Trek’s official 60th anniversary charity partners, which supports young people driving positive change in their communities. The auction is presented as an opportunity to “celebrate 60 years of Star Trek and own a piece of the legacy,” with each item described as telling a story connected to moments and characters that have shaped the franchise’s influence in entertainment history.
The auction includes authentic and exclusive items from across the Star Trek universe, emphasizing exploration, optimism, and unity as core themes of the franchise’s six-decade impact. Special terms specify that shipping is not available, and 403 Auction staff are not permitted to assist with loading; items will be brought to the shipping door for customer removal. A 15% buyer’s premium applies to all purchases.
This auction follows earlier announcements regarding the dismantling of key Star Trek TV sets in Canada, where most of the franchise’s live-action production has been based since the launch of ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ in 2017. The exception remains ‘Star Trek: Picard,’ which was filmed in Southern California to accommodate Patrick Stewart. The current sale represents a major liquidation of production assets from recent Star Trek series as Paramount shifts its focus amid changes to its television strategy for the franchise.
