Eric Barone, known as ConcernedApe, is currently developing “Haunted Chocolatier,” a new game described as an “evil chocolate shop simulator” and a ”farm sim in reverse.” Barone shared an update on January 28, 2026, via his official website,detailing his progress on the game.

Barone explained that he is still actively working on Haunted Chocolatier,focusing on both the core gameplay and various aspects of the game. He stated, “I’m still working like always on the game. I want to keep working on it until it feels right. I can’t really give a date, but I’m happy with how it’s going.” He also noted that Haunted Chocolatier is intended to be “a much more focused experience.”

The developer clarified the relationship between Haunted Chocolatier and his previous success, Stardew valley.
