Stars of Sabtoana Shine Bright: Exceptional Students Rewarded with Prestigious Concession
Academic Excellence: “Concession” Rewards Outstanding Students from Sabtoana
This Saturday, September 21, 2024, 45 deserving students from the Sabtoana district in Ouagadougou were under the spotlight. After their great success in the CEP, BEPC and BAC exams, the “Concession” association paid tribute to them by offering them prizes including school kits and certificates.
The 2024-2025 school year begins with a satisfaction score for Sabtoana students, in district 12 in Ouagadougou. Whether it’s the 24 CEP students, the 16 BEPC winners or even the 5 accepted on the BAC, they all return home with their prizes. As well as school kits, new students also received financial envelopes.
All in all, there is room to be happy, said the recipients of the day. Listening to them, this difference is a sign of generosity and an invitation to persevere in their studies. For Theodoric Meda, winner and new student, this initiative is beneficial. As for the “Concession” society, he asked to always be by their side and encourage the other students.
“It’s a feeling of joy that I feel because of what we got today. I am truly grateful to the Concession for honoring us,” he rejoiced.
The first of its kind, the members of the “Concession” say they left satisfied on this day. According to Julien Bayala, secretary general and representative of the president of the association, the objective was to create a framework that allows children to have models of success. In the same way, he added that the other benefit is to ensure that tomorrow’s executives and elites come from the Concession.
“We really need to have executives, what about elites, people who can go international,” Julien Bayala emphasized.
“Everyone who passed their exam received a prize. This is the first edition that the office has wanted to organize and please God, it is done every year. We really need to have executives, what about elites, people who can go international, what about even ministers and future presidents,” he exclaimed.
In addition to the education component, the Concession also aims to make the living environment of Sabtoana residents pleasant. Among these missions, Julien Bayala referred to the asphalting of the tracks, electrification and the re-routing of the neighborhood.
“It is a non-political, non-profit association that was created for mutual aid and social cohesion. (…) We are really in what is really social to make the city beautiful,” he explained.
On behalf of the students’ parents, there was also satisfaction. This is the example of Alhasane Zoungo who is already calling on members of the office to repeat this experience. For him, it is fundamental that children can inherit certain values such as social cohesion and understanding. In this regard, he admits that the Concession has made him his hobby horse.
“Above all, living together is my first concern. Because beyond that, if there is health, we can do many things on the rest,” he concluded.
