Stay Happy This Thanksgiving: Top Activities for Students in Los Angeles
As Thanksgiving approaches, many students leave campus, and buildings close. For those who stay due to various reasons, it can be a tough time, especially for those dealing with anxiety or loneliness.
According to the American Psychological Association, nearly two out of five people report increased anxiety during the holidays. To help students cope with holiday stress, here are some activities available in Los Angeles:
1. Amoeba Music
Located at 6200 Hollywood Blvd, this iconic record shop offers a vast selection of DVDs, vinyl, and CDs. It’s a great place for music and mass media fans to explore.
2. 12th Annual Los Angeles Turkey Trot
Join the Turkey Trot on November 28, 2024, for a 5k or 10k run, ending at Gloria Molina Grand Park. Costumes, including turkey outfits, add fun to the event. Register here.
3. Turkey Cuddling
At Gentle Barn in Santa Clarita, visitors can interact with turkeys during a pre-Thanksgiving celebration, enjoying treats and cuddling.
