Serve You Rx Adds biosimilars to Formulary, Promising Cost Savings

Serve You Rx, a pharmacy benefit manager based in Milwaukee, Wis., announced Thursday it has included two new biosimilars, Otulfi and Yesintek, on its formulary. These biosimilars are alternatives to Stelara, used in treating conditions like Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, plaque psoriasis, and psoriatic arthritis.
Justin Jasniewski, CEO of Serve You Rx, said Stelara costs about $20,000 monthly. The new biosimilars will allow clients to save approximately 96% with Otulfi and 90% with Yesintek. A biosimilar is clinically similar to a brand-name biologic drug but available at a lower cost.

Otulfi will be dispensed exclusively through Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company (Cost Plus Drugs). Yesintek will be available through Serve You Rx’s specialty pharmacy network, powered by Waltz Health.Waltz Health’s platform, Waltz Connect, allows specialty pharmacies to compete based on quality, clinical outcomes, and price.
In April, Serve you Rx and Waltz Health announced a partnership to give Serve You Rx clients access to Waltz Connect. the platform directs prescriptions to the most suitable pharmacy based on factors like price and member experience.
Mark Thierer, co-founder and CEO at Waltz Health, said the companies plan to expand to more biosimilars in the future.
