The Minato City Local History Museum opened on November 1, 2018, and is celebrating its 6th anniversary this year as a base for getting to know, explore, and interact with Minato City through its nature, history, and culture.

The building was designed by Yoshikazu Uchida, known for works such as the Yasuda Auditorium at the University of Tokyo, and was built in 1938 as the former Public Health Center, which has been preserved, renovated, and utilized. The exterior has a distinctive design called “Uchida Gothic,” covered with continuous arches and scratch tiles, and the interior has well preserved its original appearance, including the central hall, old lecture hall, and former director’s and deputy director’s rooms. The original space remains and is designated as a tangible cultural property by Minato City.

The Minato City Museum of Local History has been holding regular concerts since March 2019, shortly after it opened, but this time, as our first attempt, we are inviting a wide range of performers as listed below.
