National Day of the Elderly Celebrated in Puerto Tejada

They were received with great honor and a pleasant and fun program was enjoyed.

Within the framework of the National Day of the Elderly, the La Ceiba Leisure Center in Comfacauca, in Puerto Tejada, was full of smiles, joy and friendship of a hundred grandparents who are part of the Golden Link program of Puerto Tejada and Santander de Quilichao.

The party started with a walk of honour, emotional words of welcome, surprises and a coach who highlighted the importance of the legacy that older adults leave in their communities. Followed by the tribute, the adults enjoyed a joyful morning with activities specially designed for them, such as video projection, aerumba, facial spa, karaoke and dancing.

It was a day of pleasure, because in addition to the activities that La Ceiba Leisure Center was preparing for them, they had the opportunity to socialize with their friends, remember old times and make new friends.

With this day, not only were the lives and experiences of older adults celebrated, who keep the memory of many events in their populations, Comfacauca’s commitment to those who deserve all consideration, respect was also shown once again and recognition.
