Stepping into Success: Kangwon National University Alumni Association Wraps Up Thrilling ‘Chuncheon Bomnae-gil Walking Competition
On the 26th, the Kangwon National University Alumni Association (Chairman: Shin Heung-joo) held the ‘Chuncheon Bomnae-gil Walking Competition’ in the area of Uiam Lake with about 150 participants, including Kangwon National University alumni, professors, staff, students, and their families.
The ‘Chuncheon Bomnae-gil Walking Competition’ organized by the Kangwon National University Alumni Association was held successfully on the 26th.
The event was followed by an opening ceremony held with the participation of Kangwon National University President Jeong Jae-yeon, Kangwon National University Alumni President Shin Hee-joo, Chuncheon Mayor Yook Dong-han, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Assemblyman Park Kwan-hee, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Economic Promotion Agency Director Kwon Oh-gwang, and former Chuncheon Mayor Ryu Jong-su, followed by a spring walk and an awards ceremony. It was carried out as follows. Approximately 150 participants, including Kangwon National University alumni, professors, staff, students, and their families, gathered at the Chuncheon Songam Sports Town indoor tennis court plaza to enjoy the fall of Uiam Lake by walking a 9km course that goes back and forth between Uiam Lake and Shinyeon Bridge over a two-hour period. I enjoyed it. All participants were provided with a special lunch and generous prizes through a prize drawing.
Meanwhile, this walking competition was planned as a replacement event as the Kangwon National University Academic Forest, which used to hold alumni family climbing competitions every fall, is undergoing remodeling.
