Napoli are in talks to sign free agent winger Raheem Sterling, Thursday, as the 31-year-old seeks to revitalize his career following the termination of his contract with Chelsea. The potential move would reunite Sterling with former Manchester City teammate Kevin De Bruyne, according to reports.

Discussions are underway, but Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has acknowledged Sterling’s “significant financial expectations” as a potential hurdle. A previous loan attempt last summer failed due to similar concerns, though a deal on lowered terms now appears more feasible. Sterling is reportedly willing to accept a wage reduction to secure a move abroad.

Elsewhere in Europe, Tottenham Hotspur center back Cristian Romero is attracting interest from both Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. The 27-year-old Argentinian international is reportedly frustrated with Spurs’ recruitment strategy and a perceived lack of investment in high-profile signings, fueling his desire to join a club consistently competing in the latter stages of the Champions League. Romero recently expressed his discontent with the squad depth, describing it as “unbelievable but true and disgraceful” on Instagram.

In Italy, Juventus are focusing on potential free agent signings this summer, with Bournemouth center back Marcos Senesi identified as a target. Juventus believe Senesi could provide valuable competition for Lloyd Kelly. The club also favors Roma right-back Zeki Çelik over Celta Vigo’s Óscar Mingueza, citing Çelik’s experience in Serie A as a key factor.

Juventus are also monitoring several other players, including Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva and Al Ahli’s Franck Kessié, though a move for Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali remains a dream scenario. They are also considering a potential move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani, should he become available after a loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur. Jean-Philippe Mateta of Crystal Palace is also being considered as a more realistic option.

Further transfer activity is anticipated across Serie A. Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi is attracting interest from clubs in both Italy and the Saudi Pro League as a potential free agent this summer. Feyenoord have also made contact with free agent attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard, who previously played for Seoul FC.

Borussia Monchengladbach winger Can Armando Guner is reportedly close to joining Galatasaray for a fee of €500,000 plus €100,000 in add-ons. Kurt Zouma, currently a free agent, is on the verge of completing a move to Chinese club Shandong Taishan.

Real Betis are currently resisting Galatasaray’s attempts to sign Sergi Altimira, having already rejected three offers. Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is a target for Inter Milan, with discussions already underway regarding potential summer transfer conditions.

Several clubs are also showing interest in West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville ahead of the summer transfer window. Alex Jimenez will officially become a permanent Bournemouth player this week in a deal worth €19.5m plus €5.3m in add-ons, split between AC Milan and Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Luka Vuskovic, currently on loan at Hamburg, is also attracting attention from Bayern Munich.

The transfer window continues to generate activity, with clubs across Europe actively pursuing reinforcements and adjustments to their squads. Napoli’s pursuit of Sterling represents a significant potential addition for the Serie A champions, while the interest in Romero highlights the competitive market for top defenders. Juventus’ focus on free agents reflects a strategic approach to strengthening their squad within financial constraints.
