Steve Gunn announces instrumental album

Guitarist Steve Gunn is set to release a new instrumental album, music for Writers, on Aug. 15 via Three Lobed. A preview track, “Slow Singers on the Hill,” is currently available.
Music for Writers, Gunn’s first solo album since 2021’s Other You, was recorded in Brooklyn, Berlin and Latvia. Ernie Indridat mixed the nearly 47-minute album, and Carl Saff handled mastering.
Since Other You, gunn has collaborated with David Moore of Bing & Ruth on Let the Moon Be a Planet and Live in London. He also teamed with John Truscinski on Flam,and with Shahzad Ismaily,Zoh Amba and jim White for Beings’ There Is a Garden.
What’s next
