Al-Ittihad Club Company Signs Steven Bergwijn in a Three-Year Deal
Al-Ittihad Club Company has reached an agreement with Dutch footballer Steven Bergwijn to join the team for three seasons, as reported by “Al-Riyadiyah – Argent” account on Monday.
Once the deal is finalized, Bergwijn will become the first Dutch player to wear an Al-Ittihad jersey since the professional league began in the 2008-2009 season.
Steven Bergwijn’s Football Career
Bergwijn, 26, is a versatile player who can play in all attacking positions. According to the Global Transfer Market website, he has made 26 appearances as a striker, 192 as a left winger, and 85 as a right winger.
Bergwijn’s football journey started at the Dutch Waterberk Academy, followed by the Ajax youth team. He then moved to PSV Eindhoven, rising through the ranks to join the first team. Tottenham in England later acquired his contract, and he eventually returned to the Netherlands through Ajax.

Throughout his professional career, Bergwijn has played 355 matches, scoring 86 goals and providing 69 assists, as per TransferMarket.
