Shinhan Life Launches Specialized Insurance for Suture Treatment

Shinhan Life has announced the launch of ‘Shinhan Super SOL Wound Sol Sol Insurance (non-dividend)’, a⁤ specialized insurance product designed to cover wound suturing that was previously excluded from general surgery insurance.

This product is a surgical special insurance‌ that guarantees treatment of skin ⁤wounds caused by accidents that⁤ may occur in outdoor activities such as camping, sports, ‌or daily life. ⁣Unlike existing surgical special contracts, Shinhan Super SOL Wound Sol Sol ⁣Insurance covers all suture treatments,‍ including skin sutures, muscle sutures, and ⁢debridement.

The insurance coverage includes:

  • Up to 50,000 won (type 1 wound suture) or 300,000 won ⁤(type 2 wound suture) depending on the wound ‌site and length
  • Up to ⁢3 times per year (once per day)

The subscription age for the general ‍coverage type is from ‍19 to 60 years old, while the child coverage type is from 0‌ to 15 years old. The insurance period is 1 year or 3 years, with customers able to choose between monthly and lump-sum payment cycles.

The standard insurance premium for ⁣the general coverage type (40-year-old male, 3-year term lump sum⁣ payment) is 19,320 won, ‍while the insurance premium for the child coverage type (10-year-old male, 3-year term lump sum ‍payment) is 27,700 won.

Customers can subscribe to ⁢the insurance through Shinhan Financial Group’s integrated app ‘Super SOL’.

A⁣ Shinhan Life official stated, “We planned this product to provide a wider range of services to customers, considering that simple wound closure surgery was not covered. We will continue to strive to introduce various products to⁢ minimize‌ gaps in coverage in‍ daily life.”
