Comedian Park Na-rae’s Mother Reveals Why She Opposed All Her Daughter’s Boyfriends
Comedian Park Na-rae’s mother, Go Myung-sook, recently appeared on Channel A’s ‘Oh Eun-young’s Golden Counseling Center’ and shared her honest thoughts on her daughter’s relationships.
During the show, Park Na-rae and her mother participated in a special counseling session, where they discussed their relationship and the challenges they faced. Go Myung-sook revealed that she had opposed all of Park Na-rae’s boyfriends in the past, citing that she felt like she was losing her daughter.
Park Na-rae’s mother explained that as a parent, she felt a sense of loss when her daughter started dating, saying, “Parents with daughters don’t feel satisfied (with marriage) because they think their daughters are being taken away from them.” She added that this feeling was different from when her son got married, which she was very happy about.
Park Na-rae shared her thoughts on her mother’s confession, saying, “I don’t know what my mother was thinking,” and expressed her surprise at her mother’s feelings. The mother-daughter duo used this opportunity to open up and understand each other’s perspectives.
Channel A’s ‘Oh Eun-young’s Golden Counseling Center’ is a national mental care program that aims to help people of all ages address their concerns and issues. The show airs every Thursday at 8:10 PM and features national mentor Oh Eun-young.
