Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets has died at the age of 67, according to multiple verified reports. The reality television personality known as “The Gambler” passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Lake Havasu Police confirmed that Sheets was found deceased at his home around 2 a.m. Local time after responding to a report of a deceased individual. Authorities stated that he suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on scene.

The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body for further investigation. Police notified Sheets’ family and confirmed the incident remains under active investigation, urging anyone with information to contact the Lake Havasu City Police Department.

Sheets rose to fame as a main cast member on A&E’s Storage Wars, where he appeared for 15 seasons and 163 episodes. He earned the nickname “The Gambler” due to his bold bidding strategies on the show, which follows professional buyers competing to purchase abandoned storage lockers.

He was frequently accompanied at auctions by his son Brandon Sheets, known on the series as “The Sidebet.” Sheets became known for his catchphrase “What we have is the WOW factor!” during his time on the program.

In 2023, Sheets retired from the series and relocated to Lake Havasu, Arizona, where he operated an antique store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk. Years prior, he had been hospitalized for a heart attack and required surgery in 2019.

Variety first reported the news of Sheets’ passing, with confirmation coming from TMZ and local law enforcement. The entertainment industry has mourned the loss of a figure who became one of the most recognizable faces of the long-running reality competition series.

Storage Wars, which premiered in 2010, documents the high-stakes world of storage locker auctions across the United States. Sheets’ tenure on the show spanned over a decade, making him one of its most enduring and popular personalities.
