FAVIJA Donates 200 Million VND to Support Storm Yagi Victims
On September 18, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Quang Ba, Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA), presented a donation of 200 million VND to support people affected by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi).
The donation was made possible through the collective efforts of FAVIJA members, associations, and branches. Notable contributions came from the Karate-do Club members and on-site donations from two football tournaments held on September 15 in the Chubu and Kyushu regions of Japan.
FAVIJA is also organizing a direct support trip to some villages in Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, from September 19 to 21. The trip will be funded by the members of the delegation, who are committed to providing aid to those affected by the storm.
Mr. Do Quang Ba emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that the trip to directly support some villages in Bao Yen district (Lao Cai) will be a meaningful way to provide assistance to those in need.
The FAVIJA volunteer group has prepared 200 gifts, each containing essential items such as rice, cooking oil, seasoning powder, soap, facial cleanser, and cash. The value of each gift is approximately 600 thousand VND.
FAVIJA’s donation and support efforts demonstrate the organization’s commitment to helping those affected by natural disasters and promoting international cooperation and exchange.
